Abstract:
In order to ensure safe and continuous gas supply of underground gas storage (UGS), Shaan X UGS was taken as the example to investigate the movement laws of hydrogen sulfide in the UGS during its injection and production. Based on the PVT test results of related gases, the compositional model was established at first using the PVTi module of ECLIPSE. Then, the geology model and numerical simulation model were built up for the target block. Finally, the movement laws of hydrogen sulfide in a certain injection-production schedule were obtained by these models. It is shown that at the stage of gas injection, hydrogen sulfide moves to the east, the southwest and the vicinity of wells S006 and S007 in the center. And at the stage of gas production, the cumulative production and recovery rate of hydrogen sulfide are the highest in Wells S003 and S005, and it is indicated that hydrogen sulfide moves towards wells S003 and S005. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on corrosion prevention and safety production of these two wells so as to ensure the safe gas supply of Shaan X UGS.
