Abstract:
In order to increase the efficiency of gas turbines in the compressor stations of Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline and reduce the energy consumption, energy saving tests are conducted on the compressor units of different types along the Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline by taking 4
# gas turbine in Station A and 3
# gas turbine in Station B as the representatives. The efficiency of the compressors is measured in different operating conditions, and the difference of energy efficiency between GE conventional unit and DLE unit is compared. It is shown that the GE conventional unit is higher in operating efficiency, with higher fuel flue gas drainage, and the DLE unit is lower in flue gas drainage due to its more complicated and more environment-friendly combustion process, with lower operating efficiency and higher gas consumption per hour. The later has no obvious advantage in energy saving and emission reduction. These findings provide not only data support for the energy saving and consumption reduction in Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline, but also technical support for the selection and purchase of gas compressors in the future in China.
