Abstract:
Field construction of long-distance pipeline is often interrupted by the weather factors like wind, rain, snow and low temperature, which will then impede the output and construction progress. Accordingly, traditional wind shelter is usually adopted. It can just protect single welded junction, but is less capable to defend the influence of weather. In this situation, a combined ultra-large wind shelter suitable for pipeline construction has been developed referring to the mature technology of inflatable tent, in order to strengthen the resistance of wind shelter to weather influence and thereby ensure the all-weather pipeline construction. The field application result shows that the ultra-large wind shelter subverts the design philosophy of traditional wind shelter, and creates a microenvironment for all-weather pipeline construction. It is superior to traditional wind shelter in the aspects of defending wind and rain. Besides, it is cost-effective in manufacturing and application.
