Structural features and reasons for seal failure of ball valves in gas pipelines

  • 摘要: 基于球阀的基本结构、阀座结构以及不同阀座的适用条件, 对双活塞效应阀座和单活塞效应阀座进行了受力分析和公式推导, 进而阐明了球阀密封的原理; 同时, 对容易疏于管理的注脂系统进行了详细介绍, 分析了其对阀门维护保养和确保阀门密封性能的重要性, 并给出了检验其是否失效的有效方法; 在对球阀结构和密封原理深入分析的基础上, 结合球阀工程实际应用情况, 全面分析了球阀从生产制造、现场施工到运行管理过程中可能导致球阀密封失效的原因, 提出了切实可行的密封失效检验和处理手段, 提出了相应的管理建议。

     

    Abstract: In this paper, the basic structures of ball valves and the structures and adaptabilities of valve seats are firstly introduced, and then force analysis and formula derivation are conducted for double-piston and single-piston effect valve seats, so as to illustrate the sealing principles of ball valves. Moreover, the grease injection system which is often neglected in management is described in detail, its significance to the maintenance and sealing capacity of valves is analyzed, and an effective method is provided to diagnose if seal failure occurs. After the structures and sealing principles of ball valves are deeply analyzed, the possible reasons for ball valve seal failure are thoroughly investigated in the aspects of manufacture, field construction and operation management, based on practical applications. Finally, feasible means are proposed to check and treat the seal failures, and corresponding management suggestions are put forward.
