Abstract:
Oil leaked from pipelines may pollute underground water. To control and remediate such pollution effectively, many researchers have explored the migration and transformation pattern and model of leaked oil in underground water. In contrast to other countries where fruitful results have been achieved, China started later in research on this subject, especially in the development of software model. After entering underground water, leaked oil will dissipate, adsorb, degrade and volatile. That is the so-called migration and transformation of leaked oil, which is dependent on not only the properties of the leaked oil, but also the hydrologic and geologic conditions of the polluted sites. Accordingly, in-depth research on this aspect is required through importing overseas advanced technologies in order to establish methods and models in line with the actual situation in China.
