Abstract:
The guide vane cyclone tube and tangential inlet cyclone tube are widely used for the gas purification. However, as for the selection and design of cyclone tubes under different working conditions, there is always lack of criteria and instructions. Through experiments, the performance of two types of cyclone tubes are compared. The experimental results indicate that, compared with the tangential inlet cyclone tube, the pressure drop of guide vane cyclone tube is appropriate with high treatment quantity; compared with the guide vane cyclone tube, the tangential inlet cyclone tube has more flexibility in terms of operation with high precision in separation. The overall separation efficiency of both cyclone tubes can meet the requirements for the gas purification. Considering domestic designing features of gas pipeline, the trunk line terminal with large-scale gas transmission can obtain good economic benefits with adoption of guide vane cyclone tube; the branch terminal with small gas transmission scale and large varying quantity can obtain better separation efficiency with adoption of tangential inlet cyclone tube.
