Abstract:
As sodium sulfate contaminated soil may be extensively sourced, an effective method to evaluate the service life of steel structure buried in it needs to be established. Through buried test of steel in the sodium sulfate contaminated soil, this paper studies the corrosion parameters of steel at different burial time. Results show that corrosion rate of the steel increases as the sodium sulfate content increases, and decreases as the burial time prolongs; and the corrosion dynamic equation parameters of the steel in sodium sulfate contaminated soil are obtained in the meanwhile. Through the analysis of contaminated soil parameters with different sodium sulfate content, a multiple linear regression equation is established, with resistivity and saturation as independent variables and corrosion rate as dependent variable. In addition, evaluation on the corrosivity of sodium sulfate contaminated soil is carried out, with results of practical engineering significance obtained.
