Abstract:
Investigation on deformation and anti-floating properties of offshore buried pipeline can provide a reference to the design and calculation thereof that is significant to ensure the safe operation of the pipeline. A similarity test is conducted for deformation of an offshore buried pipeline under predetermined operating conditions. Besides, the finite element software ANSYS is used to calculate the forced deformations of pipe and soil. After comparing the calculation result with the test result, a finite element method about anti-floating calculation of offshore pipeline is proposed. The ANSYS calculation of anti-floating of an actual pipeline shows that local stress is highly concentrated in constraint areas at both ends of the pipe model. Moreover, the section deformation of pipeline that is away from the constraint area tends to be consistent, which attributes to plane strain. With the decrease of the depth of the buried pipeline,
Y-axial displacement of the pipeline section that is imposed on buoyancy accelerates.
