Abstract:
Emergence shutdown system (ESD) is a critical part of automation system in a gas compressor station. Its reliability depends on the equipment itself, external power supply and other elements. Taking the gas compressor stations along Sichuan to Eastern China Gas Transmission Pipeline as an example, the ESD false triggering incidents in recent years are sorted and analyzed. It is found that abnormal external power supply is a predominant contributor to these incidents. Besides, any potential equipment, human and design factors are investigated from the aspects of upstream power, equivalent load and downstream load. Accordingly, some preventive measures are proposed. Application in the gas compressor stations along Sichuan to Eastern China Gas Transmission Pipeline proves that these measures help to greatly improve the reliability of ESD.
