Abstract: Based on accident analyses, investigations and questionnaires, the items and referential factors of evaluationon tankfarm operators' safe operation capabilities are selected, and the evaluation index system and evaluation standardsare established. The paper adopts the analytic hierarchy process to set up judgment matrixes separately and estimate theweight of each index. CR values are used to verify the consistency of different hierarchical ordering. Finally, the accuracyand rationality of the evaluation procedure are verified through practical application. The procedure is a new approach toevaluating the safe operation capabilities of tankfarm operators, and provides a reference to the risk assessment for front-linesupport personnel in petrochemical industry.
