Abstract:
Domestic and foreign standards for oil pour point testing are systematically sorted and a description is provided for the principle of pour point testing by the micro-pressure method as well as automatic continuous sample supply pour point test device as a self-developed patented product. Domestic representative pipeline waxy crude is selected to design a compatibility test for pour point testing by the micro-pressure method. In accordance with experiment research results, key parameters of crude pour point testing by the micro-pressure method are determined, such as 2 400 imp to 3 500 imp of pressuring pulse, 0.07 kPa of pour point judgment value and 30 ℃ of temperature difference between the sample and cold trap. Under the condition of the above values, there is a difference of less than 3 ℃ between the pour point testing result and the result of testing by the crude pour point measurement method in ASTM D 5853-06. In addition, main domestic waxy crude follows a higher relevance between flowability and thermal history with improvement of the pour point. Therefore, in-depth studies shall be carried out on the idea of quantitatively representing the relevance between the oil flowability and thermal history by the pour point value.
