Abstract:
In view of current water resource shortage in the eastern 13B pipe section of the 2nd West-to-East Gas Transmission Project, the feasible process of using the high-turbidity Yellow River water in the irrigation area as a water source is discussed. Polyaluminium chloride coagulation sedimentation strengthening process is used for the high-turbidity Yellow River water treatment test and a comparative analysis is made for water quality and sediment ingredients in different sedimentation times before and after adding natural sedimentation types of polyaluminium chloride. The results show that the water can meet the requirements for hydrotest water for the pipeline adding natural sedimentation polyaluminium chloride and holding sedimentation for two hours, and the water quality without adding any sedimentation agents but only with natural sedimentation for three hours cannot meet the requirements. In accordance with the test result, the process of using the high-turbidity Yellow River water as hydrotest water is developed to solve the construction problem of hydrotest water in water resource shortage areas.
