Abstract:
Based on the characteristics of unban gas pipelines in China and according to the integrity management flow process of the closed-loop system recommended by ASME B31.8S-2001, this paper points out that the integrity management of urban gas pipeline networks in China should, based on the establishment and improvement of standards, specification and procedures, carry out basic information and data accumulation and collation, and establish advanced information management system with modern technology means, and at the same time strengthen the development of risk assessment models and methods applicable for urban gas pipeline networks system. Therefore, it proposes the flow process for the integrity management of urban gas pipelines, which contains three key implementation points, including establishing a pipeline information database to achieve the dynamic data management of the pipeline network, identifying high consequence areas to carry out integrity evaluation and developing an effective response measure according to the evaluation results. The research results will be of certain guiding significance in the integrity management of urban gas pipeline networks.
