Abstract:
Source of errors caused by tanks, dipsticks, thermometers, density meters and other measuring instruments in the static measurement of refined oil shore-tanks as well as measuring methods for oil height, temperature, density, etc. is analyzed and effective solutions are proposed. It is pointed out that multi-point sampling and multi-point temperature measurement should be used before and after loading to respectively measure oil temperature and density, and corresponding standards in the operations should be strictly complied with.Meanwhile, it is necessary to strengthen management of measuring instruments and conduct professional training about operation methods for operators. Calculation results show that the above improvement measures can reduce the measurement deviation by 0.5 ‰~4 ‰, thus greatly reducing measuring disputes caused by human operation errors. In addition, it is recommended to give priority to the use of massflowmeter as the main custody transfer method of refined oils if available.
