Abstract:
Oil & gas storage and transportation engineering often faces the selection of programs in design, construction, etc. or needs evaluation on operating conditions of facilities. Comprehensive evaluation methods can be used to determine the programs' advantages/ disadvantages or evaluate the extent of pipeline corrosion, oil tankfarm safety conditions, etc. Comprehensive evaluation methods commonly used in oil & gas storage and transportation engineering include the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), grey incidence theory, gray matter element method, fuzzy matter element method, data envelop approach and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. In this paper, basic ideas, applications and advantages/disadvantages of the evaluation methods are described and relevant suggestions are proposed, which provide references to the applications of various evaluation methods in oil & gas storage and transportation engineering.
