Abstract:
Investigation shows that the wax deposition in the condensate pipeline from No.1 Complex Station to Yakela gas gathering and processing station in Tarim Oilfield is serious. The calculation method and model for wax deposition layer thickness and their advantages and disadvantages are discussed. It is considered that Leapienzon Formula can be utilized to inversely calculate average wax layer thickness, by which, to grasp the actual wax deposition situation of pipelines. The determination of parameters by Huangqiyu Model requires the support of huge quantities of actual experimental data, the calculation amount is great with obvious error, and hyperbolic model of wax deposit is applicable to the engineering calculation for the wax deposition distribution simulation referring to hot waxy oil pipeline. This paper simulates and analyzes the wax deposition situation of this pipeline with hyperbolic wax deposition model, and provides the calculation steps and calculation results, so as to verify the unevenness of wax deposition along the whole pipeline. According to the analysis results, longterm running with wax deposit is allowed for this condensate pipeline, which will not impact the shut-down and restart up operation of the pipeline.
