Abstract: Urban gas pipeline construction and operation management are quite different in different cities areas. In order to make sure the safety of the operation, many problems need to be solved. Hence, integrity management of gas transmission and distribution pipeline network should be developed. Outlines of gas pipeline accidents and the main cuases, the relevant standards and specifications are given in this paper. The conception of gas pipeline network integrity management is proposed that all the factors that could influence the integrity of pipeline network should be considered, and the integration-based management should be launched to guarantee the safety and effectiveness of in pipeline operation economically and reasonably. Gas pipeline integrity management system framework is established, including management system and technology system, which is required to intersect through the organization integrity, data integrity and process integrity, keeping a certain flexibility. Technology system is the core of gas pipeline network integrity management, formed by the combination of a 6-step cycle management processes, which should be continuously improved.
