Abstract: Technical principle, performance/characteristics and repair process of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipeline repair technology are introduced.Combined with application practice of technology in Dagang South Oilfield, suitability and economy of the technology in repairing gathering pipeline and water supply pipeline of oilfield are analyzed.Relying on the technology, the problems are well solved in repairing and utilizing seriously corroded and leaked old oil pipelines, which not only elongates the service life of the old pipeline, but also saves a large number of costs in pipe replacement, and realize on-line repair.Meanwhile, technical advantages of the technology are summarized and improvement suggestions are proposed.
