Abstract:
Maintaining the pressure and throughputs field test of HG DRA (drag reduced agent) in Puyang-Huaxian pipeline section of Zhongyuan-Luoyang Oil Pipeline is carried out. Results show that with the increase of injection volume of DRA, drag reduction rate and throughput rate are relatively increased; and maintaining the throughput unchangeable, DRA's injection can reduce operation pressure sharply. In this paper, empirical formulas to calculate the increasing rate of throughput and drag reduction rate is given. It is considered that the empirical formulas taking the factors such as physical properties of oil, pipeline's condition, throughput and Reynolds number can be used to guide the safe operation of pipeline.
