Abstract: In the light of oil overflow problem during tank loading and unloading process, an automatic valveoperating on its self-pressure of the fluid transported is developed, which can realize an automatic control oftank level.The basic working principle of the valve is introduced and the characteristic of water hammer produced during valve shutdown is analyzed in the paper.
