Abstract: The paper provides 2 accident cases of lightning stroke and fire for floating roof oil tank.Combined with the operation management situation of a certain oil tankfarm, countermeasures against the lightning stroke and fire for floating roof oil tank are put forward from eliminating hidden danger in fire-fighting facilities, training according to'emergency program of fire-fighting, perfecting communication equipments as well as increasing isopotential tie point for extra—large oil tank.
