Abstract: The paper considers that wax scrapers available at the present time are lack of unified State and industry standards or codes, which brings about differences to the quality and technical performance. A thorough study and field investigation are carried out to the wax scraper of floating roof oil tank for the purpose and applicable performances of wax scrapers commonly used domestically are summarizes, some problems to be cared of in the design, selection, type determination, and installation and daily care are point out, and improving suggestions are put forward meanwhile.
