Abstract:
Differing greatly from single-phase flow, multiphase flow will exhibit special hydraulic characteristics due to the slip between phases, especially for the pipeline in hilly terrains. The terrain is hilly from Tazhong 401 Metering Station to 4th Tazhong Combination Station in Tarim Oil Field, with total height exceeding 300 m in undulation. It is very difficult for pipeline transporting with multiphase flow. OLGA is used to predict dynamic parameters for this kind of service. Some factors affecting piping are studied and verification is made for the computation result based on starting parameters in multiphase flow status.
