Abstract:
In this paper, the pressure loss model of each pattern is developed according to consistence equation, momentum equation and fluctuation equations. The flow patterns of oil-water flow in horizontal pipelines mainly consist of three kinds, separated flow, dispersed flow and mixed flow (dispersion of oil in water over a water layer O/W&W) while the water percentage above 80%, which are observed by some researchers. Application procedure is programmed according to the above theory models. By comparing the predicted results of the model with the experiment results, the relative error is less than 10%. Therefore, the models con be applied for predicting the pressure loss of oil-water flow with high water percentage in horizontal pipeline.
