Abstract:
Study on the start-up of pipeline transporting gelled crude oil is a hot and useful research, which offers scientific basis for the process of pipeline design, including the selection of the size and material, prediction for the allowable shut down period and necessary restart pressure, etc. In this paper, the author give a broad overview of the present studies on the pipeline start-up issues, and point out some problems in the startup models, according to the documents and their experimental research.
