Abstract: An investigation on the hazard of deep root plants to bituminous protective coating of gas pipelines in Sichuan Province and Chongqing City is made.The site investigation and statistics results show that the trees with different hazards(high, medium, low)to the pipelines should be seriously, moderately and corn— monly controlled so as to ensure the safety of the pipelines.The relative management standards are put for— ward from the viewpoint of pipeline operation and tree planting.
