Abstract: After China joins WTO, the development of Chinese pipeline industry will face with some important subjects, that is, on the construction of oil and gas pipelines with Sino-foreign joint-venture ways, the selection of spiral seam linepipe and longitudinally-welded linepipe, the reliability and integrity for in-service oil and gas pipelines, the cooperation between PetroChina, Sinopec and CNOOC, as well as the future development of domestic design and construction departments of oil and gas pipelines. In this paper, the author probes into these subjects and puts forward some important suggestions to them.
