Abstract:
The cathodic protection system plays an important role in anti-corrosion of pipeline, while the reliability of 'reference electrode will influence directly the accuracy of parameters measured for the cathodic protection system. The reference electrode itself does not work in frozen soil, which does not meet the needs of measurement conducted in frozen soil. Therefore, developing a reference electrode suited to frozen soil is necessary. In the article, an improved reference electrode used in frozen soil is introduced. This reference electrode, with anti-frozen characteristic at low-temperature and reliable electrochemical performance, can be used in parameters measuring and control in frozen soil.
