Abstract: This paper studies the conception and relationship about the reserve and safety reserve of steel pipe for West-to-East gas transmission pipeline project. Some influence factors to pipe manufacturers, entrepot storages, construction sites transportation allocation and pipe welding have been analyzed. Based on the analysis results, the adjustment factors about reserve and safety reserve of steel pipe for West-to-East gas transmission pipeline project have been determined. In the paper, a simulation calculation on the reserve and safety reserve of steel pipe for the entrepot storages has been carried out.
