Abstract: This article briefly introduces some famous multiphase-flow experimental loops, reviews the measuring devices and methods of some characteristic parameters on slug flow, reviews the experimental study methods and conclusions on stable and transient slug flow, introduces some special experimental study methods and conclusions on slug flow, and puts forward some views of authors' own.
