The Analysis and Modification to Liquid Holdup Calculation Model of Beggs-Brill

  • 摘要: 指出了Beggs-Brill截面含液率计算模型在计算下倾管路时存在的问题,并从数学上进行了分析,推导得出了截面含液率计算公式在计算下倾管时的使用范围。提供了一种用于管路持液率计算的方法,可以用于水平管、上倾管和下倾管的计算,并利用实验数据对两者的计算结果作了比较。

     

    Abstract: This paper deeply studies the model of the Beggs-Brill liquid holdup, which is widely used in engineering design of the gas-liquid two-phase flow in pipeline. The problem existing in the model is pointed out when it is employed to calculate the liquid holdup of the inclined pipeline. Based on the mathematic tools, this paper deduces the critical conditions of this model and obtains the range of the angle of the inclined pipe. Also, a method which can be used to liquid holdup calculation of inclined pipeline is proposed in the paper. The calculation results of these two methods are compared with the experimental data. It shows that the relative error of the proposed model is less than the Beggs-Brill's.
