Abstract:
The detection data of corrosion defects gained by leakage magnetic detector and laboratory test data ofdefect dimensions of pipe samples, taken on site which picks up on Kelamayi——Wulumuqi parallel oilpipeline (φ529×7(8)mm), are statistically analyzed. The distribution of corrosive defects along the whole line and their characteristics have been statistically classified, and a comprehensive analysis on defect frequency/pipeline kilometer has been made, combined with laboratory test results. The authors consider that the final analysis results, which is from the statistics and evaluation report on residual strength of the pipeline, will be helpful for decision making on the rehabilitation of coating or maintenance of pipeline, which is beneficial to the scientific management and operation of the pipeline.
