Abstract: In allusion to the increase of natural gas demand and the decrease of natural gas supply in recent years, an analysis on historical data is carried out with linear regression method to linearly plan and rationally distribute the data which is correspondent to the years with unbalance supply and demand of natural gas in order to meet the needs of supply and demand of natural gas in a short-term. In the paper, differential equations are established to predict the calculated supply and demand of natural gas in short-term periods.
